La Société Nationale Française de Gastro-Entérologie octroie, à des docteurs en médecine exerçant en France, ayant un DES en hépato-gastroentérologie, une aide matérielle pour séjourner pendant au moins un an dans un service, ou une unité de recherche, situé dans un pays étranger, afin de compléter sa formation en vue d'une carrière hospitalo-universitaire.
